Pastor Kesiena Esiri calls out Mathew Ashimolowo for joining Chris Okafor and his wife

Pastor Kesiena Esiri has publicly criticised Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo for officiating the wedding of Pastor Chris Okafor and his wife despite record of his alleged immorality.

In a strongly worded message circulating online, Esiri questioned how a man he described as having divorced his wife and left her with four children could have his wedding celebrated by a senior Christian leader, calling it a troubling contradiction to Christian doctrine.

He alleged that stories surrounding Pastor Okafor’s lifestyle prior to the wedding were widely known but overlooked by prominent clergy who publicly endorsed the ceremony.

Esiri expressed disappointment that someone regarded as a “father of faith” would officiate or support the event without addressing the moral implications.

The pastor argued that such actions send the wrong message to congregants who see church leaders as moral guides.

Esiri warned that compromising biblical standards for influence or image weakens the moral authority of the church and confuses believers.

The controversy comes amid renewed scrutiny of Pastor Okafor following allegations by actress Doris Ogala regarding marriage betrayal after he posted his marriage pre-wedding shoot.

The situation reportedly escalated to her arrest before she was later released with the intervention of activist VeryDarkMan and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore.

The incident has reignited debate within Christian circles and on social media about whether influence and status are increasingly overriding spiritual integrity among senior clergy in modern-day Christianity.
