Pastor David Ibiyeomi shares how faith and sacrifice sparked miracles in family life
Renowned Nigerian clergyman Pastor David Ibiyeomi has recounted a personal testimony illustrating the power of faith and obedience in unlocking blessings.
Speaking during a sermon, Pastor Ibiyeomi shared how, in 1997, his wife asked to go to the market while his monthly salary was just ₦5,000.
Despite the limited means, he claimed he heard God instruct him to give the full amount as a sacrifice.
Within an hour, a local pastor approached his wife, asking to hand over ₦25,000 along with groceries, including rice, beans, and eggs.
Pastor Ibiyeomi noted that this act of faith marked a turning point: the couple later received significant financial breakthroughs, including ₦1 million from the same man and a job offer in Abuja.
He emphasized that hesitation or lack of faith can impede the flow of blessings, describing his experience as a “chain reaction” of miracles triggered by obedience to divine guidance.

“My wife told me she wants to go to market in 1997 and my salary was five thousand naira. She said to me upstairs, my husband we have to go to market. It’s very well and I i said i’m coming, and I heard God said to me give me the five thousand. That’s madness; nobody will give me money physically. Your own wife says she wants to go to market and that was the only salary. No other one that I saw where. And God said give me. You need faith. You can hear God. But without faith you don’t produce.
And then I took the 5,000. And dropped as a sacrifice. In less than one hour. A man said God spoke to her. There’s a pastor in town. Take 25,000 Naira. Pack your bag of rice. Bag of beans. Crate of egg. Everything in your kitchen. Go to that man of God. Drop it for him.
She dropped down. Pastor Charles wife was around. She dropped everything without meeting me.
The same. Her husband, very st!ngy man. She said, her husband has never given her a hundred thousand before that day. He gave her one million. The same man got a job in Abuja. Chain reaction. So you not acting in faith is stopping a chain of miracles…”
