Pastor claims widows should undergo traditional rites before remarrying
A pastor has stirred reactions after claiming that widows should not enter new relationships without first undergoing certain traditional rites.
In a sermon circulating on social media, the cleric alleged that a widow remains spiritually connected to her late husband and claimed that any man who becomes intimate with her without the prescribed rites could face spiritual consequences.
He further stated that, in some traditions, specific rituals are performed before a young widow remarries to sever what he described as the spiritual bond with her deceased husband.
His words in part …
“No matter how nice a widow is, don’t ever sl££p with her. Every widow is married to the spirit of her late husband. The day the husband dropped d£ad, the spirit took over the marriage. What spirits do is that whatever that attracted you to her, maybe she’s p0or broke and you’re paying her school fees. Whatever thing that makes her subject to you. As soon as you sl£*£p with her, that spirit will att@ck that source. This is why when a man d!es and the widow is young and wants to remarry, there are certain r!tuals they do. If it’s not done, what happened to the other man will happen to him ..”
