“Passengers refused to travel with me because I’m Fulani” – Man cries out over alleged discrimination

A Fulani man has sparked reactions online after alleging he was denied travel due to his ethnic background.
According to him, the incident occurred at a motor park after he had already paid for a trip from Lagos to Calabar.
Narrating his experience, he said:
“Since yesterday, I was on my way to Calabar. I went to GUO park first, they said they are not going to Calabar. Then I came to GIGM park to board a bus, but after paying money and I was about to enter the bus, the passengers said they wouldn’t travel with a Fulani man, which made them refund my money.
They said they are sorry, that passengers said they aren’t going to travel with a Fulani. I am doing this video to let the world know how we think in our country.”
He expressed disappointment over the situation, describing it as unfair and reflective of deeper societal issues.
The incident has since sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians condemning the alleged act and calling for greater unity and tolerance across ethnic lines.
One user wrote, “This is really sad to hear. We need to do better as a country.” Another added, “Not fair at all. Everyone deserves respect.”
As the video continues to circulate, many are calling for increased awareness and an end to discrimination, stressing that such experiences should not be normalised in society.
