“Our brother died serving Nigeria” – Soldiers whose mother gave 3 of them to Army mourns

The family of three brothers serving in the Nigerian Army has been thrown into mourning after one of them was tragically killed in a gun battle on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

The heartbreaking news was shared by one of the surviving brothers, who goes by the handle @3StarGod on X (formerly Twitter), as he publicly grieved the loss of his sibling.

“It is with deep sadness that I announce that 1 amongst the 3 Brothers serving paid the supreme price yesterday, July 29th,” he wrote. “As a family, we will appreciate your thoughts, prayers & support during this difficult time. If you come across this, pray for the soul of my Brother.”

In a follow-up post, the heartbroken soldier expressed the pain of his loss:

“Death really punched me in the face by taking you away from the rest of us. You will be deeply missed by the family and everyone who knows you. Rest In Power, Kiddo.”

Back in 2020, the soldier had proudly shared that his mother gave birth to four boys and “wholeheartedly gave out the hand of three in marriage to the Nigerian Armed Forces.”

“My Mama gave birth to 4 cute boys and she wholeheartedly gave out the hand of 3 in marriage to the Nigerian Armed Forces. A strong woman she is,” he wrote at the time.

The loss has sparked emotional reactions across social media, with many Nigerians sending prayers and condolences.
