Osimhen on target as Galatasaray breeze past Antalyaspor 4-1

Victor Osimhen continued his strong league form on Saturday, scoring as Galatasaray cruised to a commanding 4-1 Super Lig victory over Antalyaspor.
The Nigerian striker’s goal was his sixth in the league this season and capped a dominant performance by the defending champions.
Early dominance sets the tone
Galatasaray responded decisively to their recent Champions League setback, taking the lead inside seven minutes through Leroy Sané.
The visitors maintained pressure and doubled their advantage four minutes later when Baris Alper Yilmaz teed up Roland Sallai, who fired low into the corner.

Osimhen strikes on the counter
The hosts’ resistance collapsed in the 56th minute as Galatasaray executed a quick counterattack, finished clinically by Osimhen to effectively seal the contest.
Antalyaspor briefly reduced the deficit through Sander van de Streek in the 69th minute, but any hopes of a comeback were short-lived.
Icardi seals the result
Mauro Icardi added a late fourth to put the result beyond doubt, handing Antalyaspor their ninth defeat of the season and leaving them 15th on the league table.
Title push continues
The win lifts Galatasaray to 39 points, extending their lead over second-placed Trabzonspor to five. Attention now turns to Thursday’s Turkish Cup clash against Başakşehir.
Osimhen will miss that fixture as he links up with the Super Eagles ahead of AFCON 2025 in Morocco.
The 26-year-old has now scored 12 goals in all competitions this season and heads into the tournament in form.
