Onuachu, Nwaiwu power Trabzonspor past Karagümrük in 3-1 win

Trabzonspor moved closer to the Super Lig title after a 3-1 home victory over Karagümrük on Friday, with Nigerian duo Paul Onuachu and Chibuike Nwaiwu combining for three goals.
The win, Trabzonspor’s 15th of the season, reduces the gap to league leaders Galatasaray to four points, keeping them firmly in contention as the season enters its final stretch.
Onuachu’s consistent scoring
The match started positively for Trabzonspor, with Onuachu rising to meet Ozan Tufan’s cross in the 20th minute to put the hosts ahead.
Karagümrük quickly responded through Daniele Verde, who equalised in the 28th minute, keeping the game level heading into halftime.

Onuachu’s goal marked his seventh consecutive game scoring in all competitions.
Nwaiwu stars in second half
The second half belonged to defender Nwaiwu, who scored his first goal for the club with a powerful flying header to restore the lead.
Minutes later, Onuachu provided the assist for Nwaiwu’s second strike, effectively sealing the 3-1 victory.
