Official: Luis Díaz seals £65.5m switch to Bayern Munich

Colombian winger Luis Díaz has completed a £65.5 million move from Liverpool to Bayern Munich, ending his four-and-a-half-year spell at Anfield.

The 29-year-old joins the Bundesliga champions on a four-year contract, becoming Bayern’s latest attacking addition as they prepare for the new season under manager Vincent Kompany.

He is expected to play a key role alongside England striker Harry Kane.

Díaz’s departure follows weeks of transfer speculation, with the forward reportedly pushing for an exit after signalling his desire for a new challenge in Germany.

Liverpool ended up agreeing to Bayern’s offer, which totals €75 million.

He was signed to the Merseyside in January 2022. Made 148 competitive appearances for the Reds, contributing 41 goals and 23 assists across all competitions.

He won the Premier League, the FA Cup, the FA Community Shield and the English League Cup twice.
