“Not to long and….”- Lady recounts first encounter with Alexx Ekubo, releases their chat
A Nigerian lady has shared details of her first encounter with Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo amid condolences and tributes following his passing.
Earlier, GistReel reported that the actor passed away on May 11, 2026, at 40 after a battle with advanced metastatic kidney cancer.
Lady Recounts Encounter With Alexx Ekubo
In a post on her Instagram handle, @generalsexxy, the lady disclosed that her first encounter with Alexx Ekubo was in 2016 while filming.
According to the lady, the actor’s death left her heartbroken, and described him as a formidable presence.
”My first filming with you was in 2016 and from then till date, you have been nothing but pleasant. May God give your family and friends to grace to bear this huge loss”, Her post reads in part.
Lady Posts Chat With Alexx Ekubo
The post, which included a screenshot of a chat with the actor, shows the lady informing him about her upcoming movie project.
However, the actor asked which platform the movie was aimed at, while lady informed him it was for YouTube.
The chat also shows the lady inquiring about the actor’s well-being, to which he responded,“ ‘I’m very well, I’m doing good, just taking off my time, thanks for checking in”.
