“Not every American woman is rich” – Woman warns Nigerians about cost of living in US
An American woman has warned Nigerians planning to relocate to the United States against assuming that life in the country guarantees financial comfort.
In a video shared online, the woman said she was struggling financially and sleeping in her car because of the high cost of living.

“Not every American woman is rich. For example, me, I dey suffer, I sleep inside my car because it’s too expensive over here,” she said.
She argued that many people have an unrealistic perception of life in the US, believing that everyone living there enjoys financial stability.
“Everybody thinks that it is easy in this country, but it’s not. I wish people would quit thinking that every American is rich, but we are not,” she added.
The woman also spoke about the pressure of working for low wages while dealing with multiple expenses, including rent, car insurance, taxes and other insurance payments.
According to her, the financial demands of living in the country can make it difficult to get ahead despite working hard.
She concluded by urging people to recognise that the US is not necessarily the ideal destination many imagine, noting that there are other places where people may find better living conditions.
