Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo passes away at 40

‎Tragedy has struck the Nollywood industry following the passing of renowned actor, Alexx Ekubo.

‎The actor’s passing, which has left fans and colleagues in shock, was announced by Nollywood actor, Godwin Nnadiekwe via an Instagram post.

‎According to Godwin Nnadiekwe, Ekubo passed away from cancer.

In his post, the actor expressed his grief over Alex Ekubo, describing him as a rare soul in the Nollywood industry.

According to the post, prior to passing away, Alex Ekubo prepared his will.

Meanwhile, the actor’s his management team or family is yet to break their silence on the incident.

Alexx Ekubo’s Biography

Alex Ekubo-Okwaraeke was born on 10 April 1986 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

He is a native of Arochukwu in Abia State, though his father’s job meant he grew up in Lagos, Kano, and Katsina.

However, his father, Mazi Alex Ekubo-Okwaraeke, was a petroleum marketer with British Petroleum, while his mother Jane Ekubo-Okwaraeke is a fashion designer and business woman.

He attended Kotun Nursery and Primary School in Lagos and Federal Government College, Daura in Katsina State for secondary school.

Additionally, je tudied Law at the University of Calabar and graduated with an LLB in 2008.

He earned a Diploma in Mass Communication from Calabar Polytechnic and later studied Theatre Art
