The young man, identified on TikTok as @harveybarnes100, described what he saw as an unhealthy lifestyle forced on residents by Lagos’ daily hustle.

According to the man, he stepped out of his house at exactly 5:57am and was shocked by what he encountered.
Instead of quiet streets, he met heavy movement, with people and vehicles already filling major roads as if the day had fully begun.

In a video shared on TikTok, the man filmed the Iyana Oworo road, showing numerous motorists and commuters already on the move before dawn.
The scene, he said, reflected how demanding life in Lagos has become for many residents.

Reacting emotionally to the situation, the realtor described Lagos as a “stupid place”, linking the relentless lifestyle to poor well-being and health outcomes.
He suggested that the pressure of early rising, long commutes, and constant stress may contribute to reduced life expectancy in the state.
He wrote: “LAGOS IS A STUPID PLACE FR 😡 tell me why I’m leaving my house by 5:57 am and everywhere is already crowded, no wonder our life expectancy is 57 years. We’re not even sleeping well, eating well, or living well. This is [expletive]!”
