“No push gift, no second child” – Lady sets strict rule for motherhood
A Nigerian lady has stirred reactions online after sharing her firm stance on motherhood and what she expects from her husband.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she revealed that getting a push gift after childbirth is not optional but a non-negotiable requirement in her marriage.
According to her words, she said:
“I have a rule when it comes to motherhood. A push gift is non-negotiable for me. If I’m having a child for my husband, he must get me a push gift.”
She further explained that she expects her partner to start preparing financially immediately she announces her pregnancy, giving him enough time to meet her expectations.
The lady added that the gift could be something significant, such as a car or even a house, stressing that she is serious about her condition.
“Immediately I tell you I am pregnant, go and start saving. You have nine months. It can be a car or a house. If you don’t get me a push gift, I’m not having a second child for you. You can go to court, I can never be forced,” she added.
The statement has sparked mixed reactions online, with some supporting her stance and calling it fair, while others believe childbirth should not be tied to material expectations.
