“No privacy” – Woman calls out teacher for recording students during class for social media content

A woman has sparked reactions online after calling out a teacher who reportedly recorded herself and her students during class for social media content.

According to her, the teacher set up a tripod in the classroom during teaching hours and filmed herself along with the students, raising concerns about privacy and professionalism.

“I saw a teacher set up a tripod in the classroom while she was teaching and recording herself to create content. A classroom where she’s supposed to have 45 minutes to teach. She set up the camera and was recording herself, with the faces of the students showing on social media, and the school allowed that,” she said.

She further questioned the purpose of such content, noting that it appeared to be for personal gain rather than for the benefit of the school or the students.

The woman stressed that using official class time for content creation could disrupt effective teaching and learning, adding that exposing students’ faces online without proper consent is inappropriate.

“What content are you creating? You’re not creating it for the school or the parents. The parents didn’t bring their children’s faces to social media. Why are you doing it? Why use your working hours to record personal content? That’s a big distraction—for you and for the students,” she added.

Her comments have raised concerns about boundaries, professionalism, and student privacy in the age of social media, especially within the education system.
