Ligue 1: Nnadi debuts in Marseille comeback win over Lyon

Tochukwu Nnadi made his first appearance for Olympique de Marseille on Sunday, featuring as a late substitute in a 3-2 comeback win over Olympique Lyon in Ligue 1.
The Nigerian midfielder replaced Mason Greenwood in the 90th minute, marking his debut following a winter transfer from Belgian side Zulte Waregem.
Nnadi had been training with the squad since early February but waited several weeks for his first competitive outing.
Aubameyang leads late rally
Marseille secured all three points through a late surge inspired by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who scored twice in the closing stages. His goals in the 81st and 91st minutes overturned a deficit and sealed the win.

Lyon had opened the scoring in the third minute through Corentin Tolisso. Marseille responded early in the second half when Igor Paixao equalised in the 52nd minute.
The visitors regained the lead in the 76th minute via Remi Himbert, putting pressure back on the hosts before Aubameyang’s decisive intervention.
Top-four race intensifies
The victory moves Marseille up to fourth in the standings, two points behind Lyon. They remain 12 points adrift of leaders Paris Saint-Germain, but the focus remains on securing a top-four finish and qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
For Nnadi, the brief cameo represents an initial step at one of France’s most established clubs.
While his involvement was limited, the timing of his debut in a high-intensity rivalry match decided late, provides early exposure to the demands of Ligue 1 competition.
