Helen Clifford, a Nigerian social media user has taken to a platform to lament over the unimaginably expensive cost of onions in her region.
Helen in a post via Facebook quizzed her followers on what the rate of purchasing the vegetable is in their locality.
Sharing a picture of a small-sized onion in the shape of a perfectly molded bolus of fufu, the puzzled user claimed to have acquired it at the rate of 100 naira; the same size of onions used to cost lesser than 30 naira.
She wrote, “Nigeria which way forward? From one issue to the other. What’s the price of Onions in your location? I just got this for 100 naira (Port Harcourt).”
