“Nigeria is in the Bible”- Pastor Biodun Oladele reveals

A Nigerian cleric, Biodun Oladele, has sparked reactions online after claiming in a sermon that Nigeria is mentioned in the Bible.

Nigeria in Biblical Prophecy

Speaking during the sermon, the pastor suggested that Nigeria is not just a modern political entity but a nation with deep spiritual roots foretold in scripture.

He linked his claims to the Book of Isaiah, stating that the country was “prophetically excavated” in the biblical text.

According to him, Nigeria’s emergence and influence in Africa were divinely preordained, describing the nation as spiritually positioned to play a decisive role on the continent.

Symbolic Interpretation of Africa’s Shape

Explaining further, the cleric gave a symbolic interpretation of Africa’s geographical shape.

Nigeria as a Spiritual Testing Ground

The cleric further claimed that Nigeria serves as a testing ground for divine activities in Africa.

According to him, whatever God intends to do on the continent is first manifested in Nigeria.

In his words:

“Did you know that Nigeria is in the Bible? The Bible actually prophetically, it was Isaiah that prophetically excavated the entity called Nigeria.”

“Did you notice that the shape of Africa looks like the shape of a gun? Did you notice that where the trigger is, that’s where Nigeria is?”

“Anything God wants to do in Africa, He tests it first in Nigeria. Nigeria is the trigger of everything… When you are standing and walking on our soil, you are not walking on an ordinary ground; you are walking upon a ground that has prophetic statements on it…”
