However, dollar rates in the parallel market remain significantly higher, with available quotes ranging from ₦1,385 to ₦1,410 per dollar.

The Central Bank of Nigeria’s NFEM data lists September 4 as the latest dated trading entry, showing an official exchange rate of ₦1,321.2160/$1.
The ₦1,321.37 figure for September 9 should therefore be regarded as the latest available rate rather than a confirmed CBN closing rate for the day.
At the official rate, $100 is worth approximately ₦132,137, while $1,000 is equivalent to about ₦1,321,370.
Parallel-market rates
Parallel-market rates vary depending on the dealer, location and whether dollars are being bought or sold.
NairaToday lists the dollar at ₦1,385 buying and ₦1,410 selling.
AbokiForex, meanwhile, reports a ₦1,385 buying rate and ₦1,395 selling rate.
Based on NairaToday’s figures, selling $100 could yield about ₦138,500, while buying the same amount could cost approximately ₦141,000.
Using AbokiForex’s selling rate, purchasing $100 would cost about ₦139,500.
The difference between the official rate of ₦1,321.37 and NairaToday’s parallel-market selling rate of ₦1,410 is approximately ₦88.63 per dollar.
