“Na my papa?” – Lege Miami faces backlash after calling out Nigerians over Tinubu’s 74th birthday snub

Nollywood actor Adams Kehinde, popularly known as Lege Miami, has sparked reactions after calling out Nigerians who didn’t celebrate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his birthday.
In a video circulating on social media, the actor expressed disappointment over what he described as silence from Nigerians on the president’s special day.
“Today is our president’s birthday, and you all are quiet, acting like you don’t know. It will not be well with you all. Long life and prosperity to you, President of Nigeria till continuity,” he said.
Lege made the statement while celebrating Tinubu’s 74th birthday with heartfelt words, a comment that quickly caught attention online.
Many Nigerians did not take his statement lightly, flooding comment sections to criticise his remarks.
Some described his words as unnecessary, while others argued that celebrating political leaders should not be forced on citizens—especially a leader whose government they believe has made life economically difficult.
Social media users reacted with a mix of humor and frustration.
One wrote, “Na my papa? Make I celebrate person wey make life hard for me.” Another added, “Hungry fool, you’re definitely part of Nigeria’s problem.”
