“My wife brought a houseboy to care for my 5-year-old son, I later discovered he was abusing him” – Man seeks advice
A Nigerian man has sought advice online after alleging that a 17-year-old houseboy sexually abused his five-year-old son.
According to the man, his wife brought the teenager into their home to help care for their son. He explained that he had been responsible for the boy’s school fees, transportation and other needs.

However, he claimed that he later discovered that the teenager had been sexually abusing his young son and subsequently had him arrested.
Sharing his dilemma, the man asked social media users whether he should allow the teenager to face the consequences or forgive him.
“My wife brought in a 17-year-old houseboy to be taking care of our 5-year-old boy. I pay this boy’s school fees, transport and everything he needs.
I later discovered he was sexually abusing my boy. I have arrested him, but I need your advice. Should I let him go to prison or should I forgive him?” he said.
The man’s account has sparked concern online, with many people urging him to prioritise the safety and wellbeing of his five-year-old son and seek appropriate professional and legal guidance.
