My neighbour asked me to refund ₦50k he paid me to spy on his wife — Lady

A lady has sparked debate online after revealing how a private arrangement with her neighbour took an unexpected turn.

In a post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, the lady said she was paid ₦50,000 to spy her neighbour’s wife while he was away for work.

Paid to Watch a Neighbour

According to her, the man works in another state and only visits home twice a month. He recently confided in her that he suspected something unusual.

“He works in another state and only comes home twice a month,” she wrote. “Recently, he said he suspected something and asked if I had noticed any man visiting her.”

The woman said she told him about a man she often saw around the compound. The neighbour then asked her to take a picture if she saw the man again.

“He told me to take a picture the next time I see him, and later he sent me ₦50k, saying it was a gift,” she stated.

Picture Sparks Unexpected Reaction

Last week, she saw the man leaving her neighbour’s flat. Acting quickly, she snapped a photo and forwarded it to the husband.

“Last week, I saw the guy coming out of my neighbour’s flat. I quickly took a picture of him and sent it to my neighbour,” she explained.

However, the situation took a surprising twist hours later. The husband reportedly called her back with new information.

“A few hours later, my neighbour called and said he knows the guy. Apparently, he’s his wife’s best friend,” she wrote.

Demand for Refund

Following the revelation, the man allegedly asked her to return the ₦50,000 he had earlier described as a gift.
