A 28-year-old woman has sparked widespread debate online after sharing her marital crisis involving her husband, his five-year-old son, and expectations around household responsibilities.

The woman, who welcomed a baby six months ago, explained that the conflict began last week when she insisted her stepson complete simple chores before going to school.

The situation escalated when her husband returned home unexpectedly, found the boy still at home, and strongly objected to the demand, insisting the child was too young for such tasks.

Ultimatum deepens family divide

The disagreement has since strained the couple’s relationship, with the husband reportedly refusing to speak to his wife and taking over the chores himself to make a point.

“I told the boy to sweep and wash dishes before school, but my husband said he is too young and got angry. Since then, he has been doing everything himself just to prove me wrong,” she said, expressing frustration over the situation.

She added, “Now he wants my sister, who came to help me with the baby, to leave so he can hire a nanny. He even said if I don’t agree, I should leave, but without my baby. I feel stuck and don’t know what to do.”
