“My husband cheated with his married ex so I married her husband” – Lady shares her revenge story
A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after narrating how she allegedly discovered her husband’s affair with his married ex-girlfriend and the drastic steps she took afterwards.
The story was shared on Facebook by a lady identified as Gift Maduabughichi, who opened up on suspicion, heartbreak, confrontation, and how the situation eventually led to the collapse of their marriage.
Suspicion Over Husband’s Behaviour
According to her, she began noticing her husband’s closeness with his married ex and decided to confront him.
She wrote: “I saw a romantic chat between my husband and his Ex who is married. Guess what I did? I screenshot it and sent to her husband. For some women their husbands side chick is a married woman.
When i noticed his behavior around his married ex, i confronted him. He said ‘we are just friends, you don’t expect us to be enemies just because our relationship didn’t work out.’
They talked on phone and texted each other even at night. Sometimes, i will see messages like ‘I miss you so much, it’s a pity we didn’t work out between us.’”
Quiet Investigation
She explained that instead of reacting immediately, she decided to observe quietly and gather evidence.
“But the message that broke me was when I read about their outing. Wow, they’ve taken their relationship to outing stage. Did i confront my husband? No!! I didn’t. Kept my next move on my mind. Wanted to get what I wanted before taking action.
Since i stopped confronting him, he doesn’t know iam checking his phone.”
She added that when her husband travelled and later returned with new phone security, she allegedly found another way to access his chats.
“As FBI, I cloned his WhatsApp and was able to read his chat. That was when I got what I wanted. He had cheated on me with his ex. It broke me, but i never acted broken. I took enough screenshot as I can take.”
Contacting the Other Husband
Gift said she later found the woman’s husband online and reached out to him.
“Searched the woman’s name on fb and saw a post where she tagged her husband. I smiled. Got her husband’s fb, sent him a friend request. After some weeks we started talking.
I sent him screenshots and he asked we meet up… he knew my husband very well. He almost cried because he said he can swear on his life that he had never cheated on his wife.”
According to her, the revelation caused serious issues in the other woman’s home.
“The next day, she sent a message to my husband crying that i have destroyed her home. Her husband has sent her out.”
Confrontation at Home
She further narrated how her husband later confronted her over the situation.
“The first thing I did was slap the hell out of his mouth. I asked him to tell me what I did wrong all these years in our marriage… He could not respond and he knelt down to beg for my forgiveness.
He said it was devil’s handwork. I said no problem, let the devil that pushed you two together, reunite you two in marriage.”
She said she eventually packed her bags and left.
“My happiness is that I don’t even have a child for the bastard yet. Our marriage is just two years… He ran after me until I drove out of the yard.”
New Beginning
Gift claimed the woman later sent her threats, but she remained unbothered and continued communicating with the other betrayed husband.
“From that day, he was always calling and checking on me. I snapped pictures with him and we were both posting like people who never got hurt… Since they both loved each other to cheat on us they should continue while we continue ours.
“Dated the man and we got married. We exchanged partners.”
Advice to Married People
Reflecting on her experience, she concluded with a warning to married people.
“Sometimes when you feel attracted to your ex after marriage is not love but lust. Don’t let lust make you destroy what you have built.”
