According to the woman, her brother returned from the UK to marry a woman he had been speaking to over the phone for six months.
“They got engaged, did their traditional and white wedding, everything,” she said. The bride reportedly had a child from a previous relationship, which did not bother her brother.
After the wedding, she was supposed to travel, but she chose to stay in Abuja instead of Owerri, claiming she wanted a change of environment.

While her husband supported her, even opening a tailoring shop for her, she allegedly began inviting her ex-boyfriend into her life.
“When my brother traveled back to the UK to finalize paperwork, the girl invited her ex-boyfriend, someone she dated in secondary school. She sent him money, bought things for him, and even booked his flight,” the woman recounted.
The shocking revelation came to light when friends discovered screen recordings of the ex-boyfriend messaging the married woman.
Upon reviewing transaction histories, her brother realised she had been secretly sending him money, some supposedly for a burial.
Confronted, she did not deny the allegations. The brother reportedly asked her to leave, and she sold all her belongings before departing with her child.
The story has sparked discussions online about trust, loyalty, and the complexities of modern relationships in Nigeria.
