The female user, who used to be a former fan of his, expressed her displeasure with the artist following a rape allegation against him in January this year. She had described his music as “nursery rhymes.”

Smada, not enjoying her description of his music challenged her with screenshots when she used to be a fan. She informed him that those were before the rape allegations and she no longer liked his music. Which was when he posted a semi unclad video of the lady, vibing to his song with the caption “song wey nearly make you strip”.

The lady immediately responded that she had not consented to him posting the video as she had sent it to him privately on Snapchat and what he was doing was wrong.

After receiving backlash from numerous Nigerians on the X platform, he deleted the post and responded with an apology.

However, many Nigerians have taken the matter up, with Kiki Mordi, an Emmy nominated Investigative Reporter, reaching out to the Domestic & Sexual Violence Response Team, Lagos and tagging it revenge porn.

Smada has also reiterated his innocence while responding to a tweet by the Lagos DSVA, the official account of the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Agency, likening the video to revenge porn.

Smada clarifying that he did not post the tweet as revenge porn.
