Murtala Muhammed International Airport to undergo ₦712 billion renovation

The federal government has approved  ₦712 billion for the renovation of  Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

This was announced by Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development.

The minister made the disclosure after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House in Abuja .

According to him, terminal will be stripped down to its basic structural frame and rebuilt with modern mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

“Just for transparency to let the public know we are going to complete the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, everything, to have a brand-new airport,”,He stated .

Furthermore, he revealed that the renovation is expected to take 22 months, with a total cost estimate of ₦712,258,565,482.18.
