Moses Simon reaches 200 Ligue 1 games milestone

Moses Simon marked a major career milestone on Sunday after making his 200th appearance in the Ligue 1 during Paris FC goalless draw with Strasbourg.
The Nigerian winger started the match at Stade de la Meinau and featured for 64 minutes as both sides failed to find a breakthrough.
The result handed Paris FC a valuable away point, keeping them 13th in the league standings and nine points clear of the relegation zone.
Career landmark for Super Eagles winger
Simon’s appearance represents a significant achievement in his career in France’s top flight. Since joining Paris FC in the summer of 2025, the Super Eagles forward has made 23 league appearances for the club, recording three goals and two assists.

The 28-year-old built the bulk of his Ligue 1 experience during a long spell with FC Nantes. Across six seasons at the club, Simon made 177 league appearances, scoring 33 goals and providing 37 assists.
During that period, he played an important role in helping Nantes maintain their top-flight status on several occasions while establishing himself as one of the most consistent Nigerian performers in the league.
Focus shifts to next fixtures
Despite reaching the landmark, Simon will be eager to rediscover his scoring touch. The winger has not found the net since November and will hope to end that run when Paris FC face Le Havre AC in their next league match.
For Strasbourg, attention now turns to European competition. The French side are preparing for the second leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League round-of-16 tie against Rijeka on Thursday.
Strasbourg carry a 2-1 advantage into the return leg after securing victory away from home in the first meeting, placing them in a strong position to progress to the quarter-finals.
