Moment Onuachu scored silky goal for Trabzonspor on return from AFCON

Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu came off the bench to score, while Anthony Nwakaeme provided an assist as Trabzonspor secured a vital 2-1 win over Kasimpaşa in a Turkish Super Lig clash on Friday night.
Fresh from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Onuachu was introduced at the start of the second half and wasted no time making his presence felt, finding the net five minutes after the restart to give Trabzonspor a deserved lead.

Kasimpaşa fight back before late drama
The visitors responded well and levelled the contest in the 61st minute through Fousseni Diabaté, who produced a fine finish into the bottom-left corner past goalkeeper Onana to make it 1-1.
Trabzonspor, however, regained control late on. Anthony Nwakaeme was introduced in the 78th minute and made an instant impact, supplying the assist for Oleksandr Zubkov, whose clever chipped finish in the 84th minute restored the hosts’ advantage.
Red card seals Trabzonspor victory
Kasimpaşa’s hopes of a comeback faded when Kerem Demirbay was sent off after receiving two yellow cards in quick succession.
With the numerical advantage, Trabzonspor managed the closing stages efficiently to secure all three points.
The win moves Fatih Tekke’s side to within two points of league leaders Galatasaray, who still have a game in hand. Trabzonspor now shift focus to their next Super Lig fixture against Antalyaspor.
Onuachu’s goal takes his league tally to 12 goals in just 16 appearances, leaving him one strike short of current top scorer Eldor Shomurodov.
