Messi Total Goals: The Argentine Hits 900 Career Goals

Lionel Messi scored in Inter Miami’s match against Nashville SC on Wednesday, becoming only the second player in history to achieve 900 top-tier career goals.
The Argentina international scored the game-winning goal after just seven minutes at Geodis Park in Tennessee during the Concacaf Champions Cup last-16 second leg.
Since joining Inter Miami in June 2023, the 38-year-old forward has scored 81 goals in 92 games, helping the club win the League Cup and MLS Cup.
Messi, a legendary footballer, has won the Ballon d’Or eight times and scored several goals for Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Argentina. Gistreel Sport dives into the statistics behind his recent achievement.
Messi Total Goals Record Breaking Since Begining

Messi has not stopped scoring since he became the youngest scorer in Barcelona history at 17 years, 10 months, and seven days old. After replacing Samuel Eto’o in the second half of a La Liga match against Albacete in May 2005, the forward scored inside three minutes.
It was his first of 672 goals in a storied 17-year career with the Catalans. Before joining PSG in 2021, he made 778 games for Barcelona, helping them win 10 La Liga crowns, seven Copa del Rey medals, four Champions Leagues, three Super Cups, and three FIFA Club World Cups.
Despite just spending two seasons in the French city, Messi scored 32 goals in 75 appearances for the Ligue 1 club as part of a dangerous front three that included Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe.
After his contract at the Parc des Princes expired at the end of the 2022-23 season, Messi, who led Argentina to a World Cup victory in Qatar six months before, joined MLS club Inter Miami, which is co-owned by David Beckham.
On the international stage, the forward has 196 caps for Argentina, scoring 115 goals in three World Cups.
