Mbappe drops harassment, extortion charge against PSG, maintains €55m claim

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has officially withdrawn his complaints against former club Paris Saint-Germain over alleged harassment and attempted extortion, according to French outlet L’Equipe.

Mbappe had filed a legal complaint on May 16, accusing PSG of trying to pressure him into signing a contract extension during the 2023 summer transfer window.

The club had excluded him from first-team training during the dispute, which Mbappe claimed amounted to moral harassment.

A judicial investigation was subsequently opened, with two magistrates assigned to the case.

Despite withdrawing the harassment and extortion claims, the 26-year-old is continuing to pursue a €55 million financial claim against the French champions.

The sum is believed to relate to unpaid bonuses or contractual obligations stemming from his time in Paris.

Mbappe left PSG at the end of the 2023/24 season as a free agent and joined Real Madrid, where he has made an immediate impact.
