“Marriage is an achievement, don’t allow anyone whine you” — Lady shares experience

A lady has sparked discussion online after sharing her experience attending a singles’ prayer session at her brother-in-law’s church, urging women to recognise marriage as a meaningful achievement.
In her viral post, she recounted how the pastor called singles who were “tic-tac” of singleness to the altar for prayers. She observed the crowd closely, noting the overwhelming presence of women.
“You needed to see how women flooded the altar. They ran like it was a competition. I counted 37 women and 2 men. None of the women were under 30, and the men were about 40 plus,” she said.
The lady also offered advice to women navigating independence and societal pressures.
“Women, don’t let anyone convince you that marriage isn’t an achievement. Ignore bitter women who tell you that once you’re independent, you can replace the role of a husband. They’re not being honest. Many of them crave the touch of a man, later get married quietly and leave you stranded in confusion. Please, receive sense,” she added.
Social media reactions:
@AskOlotuomotayo: “When it is sweet for woman, she will say it is an achievement.”
@Reho_saj: “Man needs woman, so also, woman needs man. Don’t be fooled, we need each other in this journey of life.”
@JoschwaKalejaiye: “No need. Let angry misandrist keep deceiving young women.”
@Gardenrhoish: “You need to qualify the type of marriage that is an achievement—a good marriage. Facts are more than half of marriages are bad. Argue with divorce rates. There is no achievement in managing a bad marriage. Leave those who decide to be single alone. Better single than baby mama.”
