Manchester United submit improved £60m+ bid for Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo
Manchester United have stepped up their pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo by submitting an improved bid worth over £60 million, according to talkSPORT.
The offer places the Red Devils ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the race for the Brentford forward.
The Mbeumo, who netted 20 Premier League goals last season, is entering the final year of his contract.
Despite the limited term left, Brentford are set to secure a significant profit on the player they signed for under £6 million from Troyes in 2019.
Tottenham are also keen on the 24-year-old but could now shift their attention to Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, with reports suggesting Mbeumo prefers a move to Old Trafford.
The move would add firepower to Ruben Amorim’s squad following the recent arrival of Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
Negotiations are ongoing this week, and while Brentford have not yet accepted the latest offer, United are believed to be in a strong position to finalise the deal.
