Manchester United ready to offload Hojlund for £30m

Manchester United are open to selling Rasmus Hojlund for £30 million, taking a financial hit on the striker they paid more for, as they target RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko.

Despite scoring a brace against Bournemouth in Chicago and publicly stating his desire to stay at Old Trafford, Hojlund’s future appears uncertain.

United remain actively interested in Sesko, while Newcastle are also tracking the 22-year-old Slovenian.

Club insiders insist a deal for Sesko could proceed without immediate player sales.

However, departures may be necessary to stay within the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

If Sesko arrives, Hojlund is likely to be pushed down the pecking order.

United signed Hojlund on a five-year deal and still value him at £43 million on the books.

A £30 million sale would therefore represent a significant loss. Yet with nearly £130 million already spent this summer on Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, financial balance may force United’s hand.
