Man who claims to be King Mitchy’s ex-cameraman alleges fake giveaways during charity outreach

A man claiming to be the former cameraman of popular social media influencer King Mitchy has accused her of faking giveaways during charity outreach programs.
In a viral video circulating on X (formerly Twitter), he revealed that he worked closely with her until he questioned her actions, which led to his dismissal.
He alleges that while King Mitchy appeared generous on camera, the reality was very different.
In his words, he said:
“On camera, she would announce giveaways of ₦300,000, ₦500,000, and even ₦1,000,000. But once the cameras were off, she would collect the money back and give the recipients only ₦20,000.”
The ex-cameraman also stressed that when he confronted King Mitchy, her response shocked him.
“She said if I give away all that money, how would I pay you, and what money would I use to feed my family” he added.
The allegations have sparked heated reactions online. Some Nigerians expressed outrage, arguing that charity and giveaways should be transparent.
Others cautioned that accusations require proper evidence before drawing conclusions.
This comes amid her ongoing online feud with social media activist VeryDarkMan, after she criticised him for allegedly holding NGO donations in his account without visible projects or accountability.
While defending herself, King Mitchy claimed she renovated a public school in just six days with the help of Seyi Tinubu, challenging him to do better in his charitable mission.
However, VDM didn’t take it lightly, accusing her of attacking him unproved and being a political tool to the government for her personal interest.
