Man United hand Antony deadline to leave club or remain sidelined

Manchester United have reportedly told Brazilian winger Antony to accept a permanent transfer offer this week or risk being sidelined until January.
According to Spanish outlet Al Final de la Palmera, the 24-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Real Betis, is keen on returning to the La Liga side.
However, Betis are only pursuing a loan deal, while United prefer a permanent sale.
The Red Devils are said to have received other permanent offers and want Antony to decide before the Premier League kicks off this weekend.
The forward joined United from Ajax in 2022 for £86 million but has struggled to make a consistent impact.
Antony has also been linked with Bayer Leverkusen, where he could reunite with former United manager Erik ten Hag, but Manchester United have declined to comment on the reports, according to SunSport.
The situation mirrors that of 21-year-old winger Alejandro Garnacho, who has been linked with Chelsea and Napoli.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims Garnacho is pushing for a move to Chelsea and is prepared to sit out the season if a deal is not agreed.
United have reportedly lowered their asking price for the Argentina international from £70 million to £50 million to sanction the deal.
