Man shares how girlfriend broke up with him for speaking against her loud prayers

A man identified as @Drifeadi has shared a personal story about how differing views on prayer style led to the end of a relationship with a former partner.
According to him, he dated a devout Christian woman for about three months and described her as kind, caring, and passionate about her faith.
However, tensions arose after he suggested during a phone conversation that prayers did not necessarily have to be loud to be heard by God. He explained that while he was not opposed to praying out loud, he believed it should not inconvenience others.

He said the comment led to misunderstandings, with his partner eventually perceiving him as not being spiritually compatible with her expectations for a future husband.
After several discussions and attempts to clarify his position, the relationship ended.
Nearly a year later, he revealed that she reconnected with him, but by that time he had moved on and later married someone he described as more aligned with his views on prayer and spirituality.
He said …
“I once dated a lovely Christian sister for about three months. She was kind, caring, and very passionate about her faith.
One day, I casually told her over the phone that you don’t really have to scream during prayers before God can hear you… and I even joked that if we were abroad, we might get arrested for noise pollution 😂
That innocent comment somehow became the beginning of our misunderstandings. I tried begging, showed her scriptures that we don’t have to let others know what we are even praying about. I made her realise I am not against praying loud, but we shouldn’t do it inconvenience others.
She started to see me as not spiritual enough to be her husband so she ended things with me after so many back and forth.
Fast forward about 11 months later, she reached out again… but by then, life had already moved on beautifully. I had met another beautiful Christian sister who doesn’t scream unnecessarily while praying and we got married.
The end.”
