Man quits high-paying job over church rules, struggles to rebuild life

A man who once held a top-level position at Guinness has been left jobless after resigning due to strict church doctrines, according to a recent testimony shared by a pastor.
The pastor recounted that the church instructed the man to quit his job, asking, “How can a believer work at Guinness when you cannot drink what you produce?”

The man complied and resigned, but several years on, he is reportedly still searching for employment, with many companies deeming him overqualified.
The story illustrates the lasting impact of religious indoctrination on career decisions.
The pastor explained how a young woman in the congregation was also guided by the church’s doctrines, believing that God would reveal her future husband in dreams.
Despite her visions, the man she was shown did not reciprocate, eventually marrying someone else.
The pastor reflected on the absurdity of following rigid doctrines without personal discernment, especially when they interfere with real-life decisions.
“Age 59, and you’re still under the siege of someone’s doctrine. The Word of God has to be rightly divided. This thing is a joke,” the pastor said, highlighting the tension between faith and practical life.
