Man praises wife for standing by him financially after losing his job

A Nigerian man celebrates his wife for her unwavering support during a difficult period in his life, stirring admiration and emotional reactions online.

The man identified as @Danysleek took to his X page to share this while appreciating his wife.

Man recounts wife’s support

The man revealed that he lost his job nearly five years ago and became financially unstable after settling rent and other commitments.

During that challenging phase, his wife reportedly took over the financial responsibilities at home, ensuring bills were paid and food was available while also placing him on a monthly allowance.

According to him, despite being the primary provider at the time, his wife never disrespected or demeaned him. He noted that she consistently showed him respect, consulted him before making major purchases, even with her personal funds, and maintained his dignity both privately and publicly. When they went out, she reportedly allowed him to make payments to preserve his confidence.

He further shared that his wife supported his attempt to rebuild by giving him her laptop to start a new program and covering necessary expenses. Beyond financial help, he said she stood by him emotionally and spiritually through prayers, fasting, and encouragement, viewing their marriage as a partnership rather than a competition.

The man described his wife as a true partner who understood that when one person is down, the other must step up to keep the family going. He concluded by expressing deep gratitude, stating that there is nothing he would not do for her as long as he has the means.

“My wife, my wife, she has done a lot, but let me say this particular one.😄

I lost my job almost 5 years ago & after paying rent & spending on some other projects, I went flat broke.

My wife placed me on monthly allowance, was buying the food & sorting the bills at home.

She would send money to the joint account, my own account and when she wanted to buy things even with her own personal funds, she still gave me the unwavering respect; telling me before she spends on such.

She never disrespected me for once bacause I wasn’t able to provide financial covering, she never subtly passed a message of contempt, instead she covered me in my presence and absence and was still utterly submissive.

We would go out, she will give me the money or her ATM to pay as if the money came from me.

She gave me her laptop to start a program then and paid for what I needed pay for during the course.

She prayed, fasted and blessed me, she understood that we are partners, a unit and that when her king was down, she as the queen had to keep things running, she understood the assignment of a true queen in words and indeed.

There’s nothing I can’t do for her, except I don’t have it and even when I don’t have it, as soon as I get it, I do it, I will do more and will continue to do more for my Heaven’s Gem as the Lord bless me.💎❤️”
