Man cancels wedding after bride allegedly has sex with ex-boyfriend hours before ceremony

A wedding ceremony in Kasoa, Ghana, ended abruptly after a groom reportedly cancelled the event on the very day he was set to marry his fiancée.

Guests who had gathered in anticipation were left stunned when news spread that the groom had called off the marriage over an alleged last-minute encounter involving the bride and her former boyfriend.

Alleged Visit Sparks Shock

According to local reports, the groom discovered shortly before the ceremony that his bride-to-be had paid what was described as a final “respectful” visit to her ex-boyfriend.

The visit allegedly turned intimate and reportedly took place in the ex-boyfriend’s bed just hours before the wedding.

Sources claim a friend of the bride informed the groom about the encounter. The disclosure is said to have happened moments before the ceremony was due to begin.

Despite tearful pleas from the bride and attempts to salvage the situation, the groom reportedly stood his ground. He refused to proceed with the marriage, leaving decorations, guests, and family members in confusion.

Witnesses described the atmosphere as tense and emotional, with both families struggling to process the sudden turn of events.

Public Reactions Pour In

The incident has since sparked widespread debate on social media, with many users sharing strong opinions about trust, loyalty, and last-minute decisions.

One user, Mimdabe, wrote: “Some people are so foolish that u will not understand them, they will do foolish things and later blame witches in their family. If u know you love your ex, why didn’t u marry him.”

Michael reacted with humour, saying: “😆😀 you see the reaction from the photo? You would have thought it was the man in the wrong.”

Yusuf criticised both the alleged behaviour and the friend’s role in exposing it. He wrote: “That’s a bad friend…. And that’s also a bad behaviour from the lady…. Your ex is in the past…. It’s your past… Stop beinging past into the present…. It’s just annoying.”

Others focused on the broader lesson about commitment. Dave commented: “If true, this is shocking and sobering. Marriage is built on trust and integrity, especially in the final moments before the altar.

“When boundaries collapse that close to commitment, the damage can be irreversible. Some decisions don’t just cancel weddings..,they alter futures.”

Justice praised the groom’s action, stating: “Good job my brother! You have made us; your father; the men in your lineage, and all the sensible men in the world proud for doing this.

“I hope fellow men will follow suit by canceling their weddings on the day of the ceremony as a lesson to keep the bad apples in check.”
