Man called out for blaming the death of Nigerian Air force’s first female combatant helicopter pilot on gender equality

A Nigerian man has sparked outrage on social media after he blamed the death of Tolulope Arotile on gender equality.

He made this known while reacting to the untimely death of Arotile, the first female combatant helicopter pilot in the history of the Nigerian Air Force.

Arotile died on Tuesday July 14, as a result of head injuries sustained from a road traffic accident at the Nigerian Air Force base in Kaduna state.

Reacting to her death, he stated that Arotile should have been at home with her husband.

“Instead of being at home with a husband she’s flying helicopter, this is what you get by the so called gender equality bs.”, he wrote.

His tweet has been criticized by a number of Twitter users.
