Man called out for blaming the death of Nigerian Air force’s first female combatant helicopter pilot on gender equality

A Nigerian man has sparked outrage on social media after he blamed the death of Tolulope Arotile on gender equality.

He made this known while reacting to the untimely death of Arotile, the first female combatant helicopter pilot in the history of the Nigerian Air Force.

Arotile died on Tuesday July 14, as a result of head injuries sustained from a road traffic accident at the Nigerian Air Force base in Kaduna state.

Reacting to her death, he stated that Arotile should have been at home with her husband.

“Instead of being at home with a husband she’s flying helicopter, this is what you get by the so called gender equality bs.”, he wrote.

His tweet has been criticized by a number of Twitter users.

    I called on you, You are just very stupid How can you say such, I don’t blame you maybe non of your family have ever fight for the good of this country. You think if all army force are to sit at home, you think you will be alive? How you think the fight they are fighting is for the good self of making money for themselves. What a world we are living,she should be under her husband instead of flying about, same husband (man) that murder there wives, you are just stupid. She deserves the best. She is not to be blame. So why say such deadly words. But shaa maybe I can call it”JEALOUSY”. You are jealous.. FOOL
