Man apologises for promoting South African pastor’s failed rapture prophecy

A South African man has tendered an apology to his followers after endorsing Pastor Joshua Mhlakela’s prophecy that the rapture would occur on September 23 and 24, 2025.
He clarified that the date was not personally revealed to him, but that he had simply trusted Pastor Mhlakela’s claim that Jesus had disclosed the exact timing of the event.

Reports indicate that hundreds of South Africans gathered in a forest on Tuesday, praying and watching the skies in anticipation.
Rapture fails to occur
However, when the prophecy failed, the crowd dispersed quietly, returning to their homes with sunken hearts.
Pastor Mhlakela has since reassured his congregation that the rapture is still imminent, explaining that if it did not happen on the 23rd, it would take place on the 24th, citing “time difference” as the reason.
