“Make una no dey make noise” – Man calls out Alex Otti hype, says Okpebholo performs better

A Nigerian man has sparked fresh debate online over who truly deserves the title of Nigeria’s “best governor,” drawing comparisons between Abia State Governor Alex Otti and Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo.
In a viral video shared on Instagram, the man questioned why many Nigerians consistently praise Alex Otti as the country’s best-performing governor.
He argued that the Edo State administration has delivered more visible and practical projects, particularly within Government Reserved Areas across Benin City.
According to him, the large-scale sand-filling of roads in Benin City GRA is clear proof of proactive leadership. He claimed that no other governor in Nigeria has carried out such extensive work in similar areas.
He further stated that even when rainfall washes parts of the sand away, the roads are quickly refilled. This, he said, shows responsiveness and a strong commitment to residents.
The man also commended the Edo State government for handling several infrastructure projects simultaneously, including flyovers.
Although some projects are still ongoing, he noted that new ones have reportedly been initiated without delays or public complaints, which he described as a sign of effective leadership.
Challenging supporters of Alex Otti, he urged Nigerians to visit Edo GRA and judge the projects for themselves.
He insisted that tangible results on the ground matter more than social media praise or political sentiment tied to Abia State.
Online reactions have been mixed. While some viewers dismissed his remarks as sarcasm, others strongly criticised him for comparing Edo State’s leadership with Abia’s.
They described the comparison as unfair, citing what they consider Alex Otti’s notable performance in Abia State.
