Lookman’s Atalanta, Bayern Munich remain Europe’s only unbeaten teams

Atalanta and Bayern Munich stand as the last two unbeaten sides across Europe’s top five leagues this season.

Following Juventus’s 2-0 defeat to Como on Sunday, Atalanta, who sit eighth in Serie A, remain the only Italian club yet to lose this season.

Despite their modest position on the table, Gian Piero Gasperini’s men have been remarkably resilient, registering two wins and five draws, their most recent stalemates coming against Juventus, Como, and Lazio.

Bayern maintain perfect record in Germany

Over in the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich continued their strong start with a convincing Der Klassiker victory over Borussia Dortmund, ending Dortmund’s unbeaten run and leaving Bayern as the sole undefeated team in Germany’s top flight.

No other clubs across the Premier League, Ligue 1, or LaLiga have managed to stay unbeaten after eight or nine matches.

Upcoming tests for Atalanta

Atalanta will now turn their attention to the Champions League, where they host Slavia Prague on Wednesday.

They return to Serie A action with a weekend trip to Cremonese, before facing league leaders AC Milan in what promises to be their toughest test yet.
