Strong Atalanta record before move

Lookman arrives in Madrid after an impactful spell in Italy, where he spent three and a half seasons with Atalanta.

During that period, he recorded 55 goals and 27 assists in 137 appearances across all competitions, establishing himself as one of the club’s most decisive attacking players.

His time in Bergamo was highlighted by Atalanta’s historic Europa League success, with Lookman delivering a standout performance in the final.

The winger scored all three goals in a 3-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen, securing the club’s first major European trophy and sealing his status as a key figure in their recent rise.

Possible debut on the horizon

Atlético see Lookman as a significant addition as they strengthen their attacking options for both domestic and European competitions.

The club expects the forward to bring experience to Simeone’s side as the season progresses.

Lookman could make his first competitive appearance for Atlético as early as Thursday, February 5, when they take on Real Betis in the quarter-final of the Copa del Rey, subject to final registration and selection decisions.
