“Let him do it” – Lawyer advises wives on what to do after husbands conduct DNA test on their children

A Nigerian lawyer, Barrister Stella Justice Nnennaya, has sparked massive reactions online after advising married women on what to do if their husbands insist on conducting DNA tests on their children.
Her advice, shared via a Facebook post, has triggered mixed responses from both men and women across social media.
Lawyer Says Women Should Not Block DNA Tests
According to the barrister, women should not oppose their husbands if they request DNA tests as long as they are certain the children are truly theirs.
She explained that resisting such tests may not be necessary and could even work against the woman emotionally and legally.
What to Do After a Positive DNA Result
Barrister Stella advised that the real action should begin after the DNA test confirms the husband as the biological father.
She urged women to immediately seek legal counsel and pursue a civil case against their husbands for lack of trust.
₦100 Million Compensation
In her post, the lawyer stated that women should demand heavy compensation once the DNA test comes back positive, describing such suspicion as damaging to marriage.
She warned that marriage should not be treated as a space for constant doubt and mistrust.
Barrister Stella wrote:
“If your husband threatens DNA tests on your children and you know they are his.
Let him do it.
Once it comes out positive, go straight to a lawyer.
File a civil claim for breach of trust and ask for ₦100 million compensation.
Marriage is not a testing ground for suspicion.
Let him test. Let him confirm. But don’t let him get away with breaking your trust.
Case closed. No room for appeal.
