Lesotho coach Notsi to recall experienced players for 2026 WCQ clash with Nigeria

Lesotho head coach Leslie Notsi, has said he will recall some experienced old stars for his sides double against Nigeria and Benin Republic.

A statement on the official Facebook page of the Lesotho Football Federation confirmed the coach’s intentions – “Players that have not featured for Likuena in the last two years” will be considered.

The clash against Nigeria marks the beginning of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers for his team.

The Likuena will square it out with Nigeria Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on November 16.

In their second encounter, Lesotho will host Benin Republic at the Moses Mahbida Stadium five days later.

Coach Notsi has made it clear that some “exciting additions” will be included in the final squad for the two all important matches.
