LASTMA officers plead for forgiveness ahead of election

Officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) plead for forgiveness from residents of Lagos for mistreating them in the past.

LASTMA officers plead for forgiveness ahead of election

This comes ahead of the March 18 election where Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), will compete for the governorship of Lagos against Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party, Funso Doherty of the Africa Democratic Congress, Abdulazeez Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party, and 11 others.

A video making rounds on social media shows LASTMA officials dancing to the tune of the song ‘ewe orijin laja, eni aba se ko firijin wa’ which translates to ‘whoever we may have offended, please forgive us.’

Earlier, some civil servants in Lagos claimed that they were threatened with job loss if they fail to support the incumbent governor’s re-election. However, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s media aide, Gboyega Akosile, debunked this on social media.
