LaLiga: Barcelona hit Betis five in chaotic eight-goal thriller
Barcelona delivered a statement performance at La Cartuja, recording their sixth consecutive La Liga victory with a chaotic 5-3 win over Real Betis.
The league leaders were forced into crisis management early after Antony bundled Betis ahead inside six minutes.
That shock only sharpened Barcelona’s execution, and the response was immediate.
Ferran Torres leads ruthless first-half turnaround

Ferran Torres restored parity within minutes, finishing from close range after sharp wide play from Jules Koundé.
The game changed immediately, and Ferran doubled the tally with a volley through goalkeeper Álvaro Valles’ legs, capitalising on Roony Bardghji’s inventive assist.
Bardghji then marked his own breakthrough moment with a well-struck effort on his weaker foot to make it 3-1.
Ferran completed his hat-trick before the break, with Pedri supplying the final pass. A deflection wrong-footed Valles and put the visitors in full control at 4-1 heading into halftime.
Yamal adds fifth before late Betis push
Lamine Yamal converted from the spot early in the second half after a contentious handball decision against Marc Bartra, extending the lead to 5-1.
Betis rallied late, with Diego Llorente scoring and Cucho Hernández adding a penalty following Koundé’s foul on Ez Abde, trimming the deficit in the closing minutes.
Pressure back on Real Madrid
The win restores Barcelona’s four-point cushion at the top of the table. Real Madrid can reduce the gap when they host Celta Vigo on Sunday.
