Lady who worked with Alex Ekubo in 2022 reveals what she noticed

Popular Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo has continued to receive emotional reactions online following reports surrounding his death, as colleagues and crew members recount their experiences working with him on movie sets.

A lady who worked with the actor on two separate productions shared a heartfelt tribute, describing him as one of the kindest actors she had encountered in the Nigerian film industry.

According to her, she first met Ekubo in 2022 during the production of the movie A Sunday Affair. Years later, they reunited again on another movie set in Port Harcourt in 2025.

Despite the long gap between both productions, she revealed that the actor still recognised her immediately, even though he could not recall her name.

The lady expressed surprise at how warm and respectful the actor remained towards crew members, noting that many people in the industry often overlook behind-the-scenes workers.

“I worked with Alex Ekubo for the first time on A Sunday Affair in 2022, and then we worked on another set in Port Harcourt in 2025,” she wrote.

“He still remembered me. Even though we hadn’t seen each other after A Sunday Affair in 2022, he did not remember my name, but he knew me.

“He was the nicest man. He was always really kind to me.

“He is one of the Nollywood actors whom I’ve worked with who are really kind to crew members.”
