Lady who cleaned late mother’s room 2 years after her demise displays items she found inside
A Nigerian lady has moved many netizens after posting an emotional video of herself cleaning out a room where her late mother’s belongings were kept.
The room had been left untouched since her mother passed away in September 2023, but she eventually found the strength to go through it.
The TikTok user, identified as @veezoka, became visibly emotional as she sorted through the items, each one reminding her of moments shared with her mother.
The video showed the space filled with everyday objects her mother used while she was alive. As she carefully examined them, memories resurfaced, intensifying her grief.
Lady shares items she discovered
One of the items that deeply affected her was a charcoal cooker her mother often used to keep the house warm and roast corn during the rainy season.
Holding it brought back fond memories of happier times. She also discovered an old phone box, a pair of sunglasses her sister had bought for their mother from Germany, and several other personal belongings that triggered an emotional outpouring.

“The room we dropped my late mum’s property has not been cleaned for a year now so I decided to do that today with the help of my special needs sister’s carer. We lost my mum since September 2023. As at 2023, this particular room was filled up with loads. We had to dash out a lot to people. Drums, buckets etc. This is the charcoal cooker my mum uses to warm the house and roast corn during the raining season. This was my first phone box, Infinix and I also found this sunglasses my sister bought for her from Germany. My mum can really keep things. I felt so emotional while cleaning up the room we parked my late mom’s property.”
